Red Snapper Season Still On

Admin • Sep 19, 2022

Red Snapper season is still on until July 31, so if that’s what you want to hook, rent a boat from Boat Up and get out on the water. You can be part of the state’s longest Red Snapper season and likely have a few to take home.

Once you catch a few this trip, be sure to reserve another boat from Boat Up for a return visit in the fall when the season opens again for 12 days. You can read more about local Red Snapper on the Florida Fish and Wildlife page Here.

You may be fortunate enough to catch other fish that are waiting for you to drop a baited hook. Be sure to head for the local bridges where fish like to gather – Marler Bridge, Brooks Bridge, Mid-Bay Bridge and Clyde Wells Bridge. Fish will also be plentiful around grass flats and other structures.

If you venture out into the Gulf of Mexico, head for artificial reefs for great fishing.

Be sure to ask for advice on the best locations for fishing. The folks at Boat Up know where the fish have been biting based on word of mouth.

Rent your boat now and get your gear ready to hook a few fish. This is the best game of catch you can play this time of year.
